Food Editor - MiNDFOOD Magazine December 2022
As the Food Editor for the Christmas issue of MiNDFOOD in 2022, my role was to curate and oversee the culinary content for the magazine. This involved creating concepts for the food section, collaborating with recipe writers and photographers, and establishing the overall look and feel of the magazine's holiday-themed recipes.
Given the context of emerging from a Covid-impacted world, where people were finally able to celebrate the festive season with their loved ones again, I made the strategic decision to focus on "The Ultimate Christmas Menu." The goal was to offer readers a collection of classic traditional recipes infused with a modern twist, reflecting the evolving culinary preferences of our audience.
One standout creation from the issue was the Aperol Spritz Glazed Ham, a delightful fusion of the traditional glazed ham with a contemporary twist. The recipe brought together the beloved flavours of the Aperol Spritz cocktail and the succulent tenderness of a glazed ham, resulting in a truly memorable centerpiece for the Christmas feast.
Overall, my role as the Food Editor for the Christmas Issue of MiNDFOOD 2022 involved conceptualising and executing a compelling food section that celebrated the joy of the festive season. Through the selection of the "ultimate Christmas menu" and the integration of modern twists on traditional recipes, I aimed to provide readers with a culinary experience that would help make their holiday celebrations truly memorable.
